Most Reverend Peter F. Christensen, M.A., D.D., President
Bishop Christensen was ordained to the priesthood on May 25, 1985 by Archbishop John Roach and served as associate pastor of St. Olaf Parish in Minneapolis before becoming spiritual director (1989) and rector (1991) of St. John Vianney Seminary. In June of 1999 he was appointed pastor of Nativity of Our Lord Parish in St. Paul where he served until being named the 10th Bishop of Superior on June 28, 2007 by His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI. On November 4, 2014, Pope Francis named Bishop Christensen as the eighth bishop in the Diocese of Boise, Idaho.
Michael Kennedy, Chair
Mike Kennedy is currently the President of Intermax Networks (Internet Service Provider, VoIP Provider) and currently serves as President of the Coeur d’Alene City Council, ending his second four-year term in January 2014. He has chosen to not seek reelection. Mike received his BA in Political Science from Southern Methodist University. His prior work includes Vice-President of sales & marketing for technology companies as well as political and communications consultant in Idaho. Mike is a Board Director for the Idaho Humanities Council; Board Director for North Idaho Housing Coalition, Advisory Board Member for the McClure Center on Public Policy, University of Idaho. He has volunteered on numerous boards and non-profits in the arts, humanities and political/civic organizations. Mike is married to Kathleen, and they are the parents of seven children . Mike’s interests include reading, baseball, kids’ sports and technology. As a founding Board member for Catholic Charities of Idaho, Mike looks forward to serving the board of CCI again to assist in the continuation of the organization’s excellent service to the people of Idaho and the Diocese of Boise. Mike joined CCI’s Board of Directors in 2013.
