MARK YOUR CALENDARS: Summer open Consultations have been scheduled in Nampa for Immigration Legal Services. Due to the volume of client cases CCI currently has open and are actively working on, CCI Immigration Services will be limiting opportunities for new clients.  Our goal is to continue providing quality legal services, and our staff realize that the need will always be greater than what we could ever manage.

CCI offers confidential legal assistance for most immigration matters, including citizenship, family petitions, and victims of domestic violence and other qualifying crimes. CCI is one of the only nonprofits in Idaho accredited to provide low-cost immigration legal services.

CCI’s Nampa Family Strengthening Center will be offering open consultations for their Immigration Legal Services this summer on the first Friday of every month. The open consultation days are first come, first serve. Summer open consultation days are scheduled for the following dates:


  • April 18th (8:30am – 12:00pm)*

  • May 2nd (8:30am – 4:30pm)

  • June 6th (8:30am – 4:30pm)

  • August 1st (8:30am – 4:30pm)

*Please note that the April 18th consultation will only be a half day (8:30am – noon) and there will be NO consultation day in July due to the holiday.

Catholic Charities of Idaho is participating in this year’s Idaho Gives. Idaho Gives is a special day for philanthropy across Idaho. A day for nonprofits to tell their stories and share the work that enriches communities throughout our state. A day for Idahoans to come together with one voice of support for our nonprofits, big and small. A day for you to find your passion, donate to your favorite causes and share in the excitement!

Catholic Charities of Idaho (CCI) welcomes Sharon Burke to the agency in the role of Associate Director. With a vast amount of management, program implementation and nonprofit organization experience, Sharon brings a wealth of knowledge, commitment and passion for strengthening families and communities in Idaho.

Recognizing early that her passion was in administering programs for the underserved, Sharon received a Masters in Public Administration and has dedicated her career to developing and managing government programs as well as volunteering with a variety of local agencies. Sharon has experience in program implementation and management through her work at the Idaho Supreme Court, Idaho Association of Counties and Governor’s Office of Drug Policy. Most recently, she was involved in designing and implementing the Substance Use Disorder Program to serve justice-involved juveniles administered through the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections. Sharon serves on the Downtown Y Advisory Committee, Create Common Good Strategic Advisory Council and Angels Among Us Foundation Board.

Sharon and her husband, Mike, are parishioners at St Mary’s Church in Boise. Her children, Erin and Matthew, attended St Mary’s Catholic School and Bishop Kelly High School and are both currently enrolled at Santa Clara University.

Sharon’s enthusiasm for faith and community has prepared her to join with CCI in engaging individuals, families and communities to promote dignity and strengthen financial and emotional well-being. Sharon states, “As I take this new step in my career, I am anxious to begin working towards building and improving CCI’s programs which serve those struggling most in Idaho.”
